A dog-surfing competition has been held in California for the second year in a row.
Hounds ride three waves each at the fund-raising event on Imperial Beach in San Diego and some have proved to be real adrenaline junkies.

The waves held no fears for experienced biker Bandit.
His owner Mark Shaffer said: "He's been riding on a Harley for five years. He has his own Harley. Now he's hitting the waves. So, today he's Bandit the Surfing Biker Dog."
The dogs are scored on their confidence level, length of ride and ability to "grip it and rip it".

The competition was won by Zoey the Jack Russell, who perched on the nose of a full-size board while her owner Scott Chandler stood on the back with his seven-year-old daughter standing on his shoulders.
